MERSEY TUNNEL RACE
It was a wonderful start to the new year with the offer of a fundraiser by the family of one of our service users.
Jonathan and Lynne Barrass, have generously volunteered to raise funds for our charity by running the Mersey Tunnel 10k. We’d like to say a huge thank you to them for their support; as a small charity, it makes a big difference.
Merseyside Asbestos Victims Support Group (MAVSG) is a small charity which provides essential assistance to those with asbestos-related diseases. This ranges from hosting small social get-togethers, to providing support with IT and helping access essential services and resources.
Asbestos-related diseases affect people from a whole range of careers with teachers, builders, electricians, shipyard workers, naval architects and pipe-laggers identified as being particularly vulnerable.
MAVSG are a very warm and friendly team who always give their time to provide tea and a custard cream to families associated with the charity! But they do much more than this… we are very keen to support their far-reaching work which is invaluable to a small but significant number of vulnerable people.
Thank you
Jonathan and Lynne Barrass
