International Workers Memorial Day

On Sunday the 28th of April, we held an event to commemorate International Workers Memorial Day.  Each year, more people are killed at work than die in wars, and on this day we commemorate those who have lost their lives.

The event will began at 11:30am (Gathering at 11:15am) for a wreath laying on the South Piazza of the George’s Dock Building, Pier Head, L3 1DD. Immediately following this, we held an event from noon at the Racquet Club, Chapel Street including a buffet, and two guest speakers. The theme of this year’s event was dangerous substances at work.
