Asbestos in Drinking Water

The Financial Times has recently reported on the UK’s water pipe network, and how 37,000 KM of asbestos cement pipes are still in use. They are approaching the end of their life, and their decay
results in asbestos fibres entering the drinking water supply. 20% of people in England and Wales drink water which has travelled  through pipes containing asbestos.
