MARTIN’S RUN FOR MAVSG ‘All in memory of my wonderful brother-in-law’

‘I’m really proud to have raised this sum of money for the Merseyside Asbestos Victims Support Group. It is all in memory of my wonderful brother-in-law, Chris Lee, who died earlier this year. The MAVSG do a marvellous job in supporting the victims of this terrible disease and their families, and I would like to thank all those who sponsored me for their generosity.’

Martin Pennington; brother-in-law of the late Chris Lee, has managed to complete the Shrewsbury Half Marathon in 1 hr 49 min 44 sec, raising an astounding £1,662.50 for our charity. We are truly grateful and very moved that you, and your sister Louise thought of us when deciding on a charity to support. For further details please click here.

Passionate Campaigner for Worker Safety & Devoted Family Man

The family of the late Chris Lee, very kindly visited our offices this week to make an extremely generous donation of £1,000.

While a passionate, advocate and campaigner for better working conditions for others, Chris Lee was also a devoted family man, father to six children, and grandfather to seven. In the same manner as Chris, the family have pulled together, and dedicated themselves to helping those affected by asbestos related disease, as a wonderful tribute to their much loved family member.

Their support didn’t end there though, as Chris’s widow Louise, represented us at the Labour Party Conference this week. Drumming up support and rubbing shoulders with some very well known faces. Including Bill Esterson (MP for Sefton Central), Steve Rotheram (Mayor of the Liverpool City Region) and last but not least former LFC star John Barnes, great work Louise!
